Re: SUMUP Credit Card Reader

I use sumup and find it great, better than a contract one which has some dubious wording and catches !! just add the 1.69% into you costings and thats what you pay, you get a daily sheet from them when they pay you which some each transaction and what the charges were - amex takes a little longer bu...

Re: Mouldings defects/damage

I create about damage, defects and quality all the time and Arqadia will credit or resupply very quickly and are taking up a quality issue for me as they were also unaware of a manufacturer changing the base material, they also pack as I ask , Centrado deliver on their own vans and will put extra wr...

Re: Lion deliveries - a warning

Kicked them into touch as a supplier !! they seem to want it all their own way and us customers are an inconvenience, and when told so, they are rude to you about it !! and that was from the managing director, so took my min £50 orders elsewhere

Re: Supplier practices, do they all do it ?

I found this when I started to , but soon learnt that most lengths are 2.4m min, so I worked on that as the standard and if something needed 3m I would order 2 lengths just to be safe

Re: New supplier

That all depends on how you size up the job Steve, I work on the basis of, can i get the frame out of a 2.4m length which is about the normal length supplied, if not I order 2 sticks ! if they come at 3m great I have spare to work with and possibly make a small un to sell off - but when I get 3 stic...

Re: New supplier

I've gone over to centrado who use their own vans, so I get very little damage and can send stuff back easily. wessex are the only other one to have a van delivery - everyone else uses trash it nels !! and it also gives the suppliers (lion are the worst for it) the option of over supplying - you ord...

Re: Handepay merchant services

when you dont use one of them for a bit they drop the charges slightly to entice you to use them - currently sumup are 1.95% and izettle 2.5%, so am using sumup machine till a better rate appears from izettle - it doesnt cost me anything to not use their machine

Re: Handepay merchant services

I used them - beware of the small print like a years notice !! a two year roll over and they hold you to it !! cost me over £600 to get out and then they wanted a fee to refurb the machine !! then had the cheek to try it on again with another roll over - I now use izettle or sumup which have no cont...

big glass cutter for a small space

I do a lots of large mirrors which I buy in cut as my wall mounted cutter only does 1600mm, but they often turn up broken and replacing them against tight deadlines means being at risk of losing orders. I need to cut 1830mm high sheets so I can keep them in stock, but alas I only have a max height i...
