Re: Glass Cleaning
While I was in the military, I had an endless supply of 'said blue roll' they did change the contract at one point and it went from being a really good absorbent paper roll and very resilient to the kind of stuff you would find in a toilet in a brewers Faye that would fall apart as soon as you spray...

Re: Help !! Can Anybody recognise this moulding pls ?
I dont recognise the moulding as anything from the usual suppliers, but a close alternative would possible be FW Holroyds H149/74. Still too new a range to be on their website http://www.fwholroyd.com but certainly available if its any good for you

Re: Medal brooch bar
Tom,
This is the clutch brooch bar I was talking about.. this one is fitted for the Queens Golden Jubilee Medal at 32mm wide but the ones that MessDress sell do not have closed ends so can be trimmed down to meet your size requirements

Hi Tom... when you say 'crimp brooch bar' I assume you mean for wrapping the ribbon around for display? If this is what you are after then a good source for all things medal related that I have used for a long time now is http://www.messdress.com/shop/medal-brooches-buckrams/clutch-pin-fixing-bars.h...

Re: Trade waste disposal costs
I am obviously quite fortunate up in N.E. Fife. I have just paid my fee for cardboard collection for this year.. £192.48 for all paper and cardboard waste.. as long as it is flat packed (or rolled in the case of corrugated packing) the council pick up from the shop front every week... and even come ...

How about A&T 12152.OAK and 44130.OAK. I use countless amounts of 58130.OAk but that is 15mm x 18mm... lovely moulding tho... but a PITA to work with as it is so hard

Hi Mike, I can mirror Merlin's comments on the whole, although I am a Gunnar user... converting images to plotable cut patterns can be tricky but manageable if you have a decent understanding of working with Coreldraw. PC specs shouldn't be too much of a drama these days, any up to date system will ...

Another option is to use 31mm offsets and place a cork bumper to fill the space.... I actually used this method for my FATG exam piece and it was perfectly acceptable

Re: Controllers on a CMC
If memory serves me correctly, my F1 XL was built in 2000. I bought it in 2014 but I believe it had fallen off the service calendar in 2010.. very good clean machine with very little to go wrong.. yes the controller is a pricey bit of equipment but the advantage of the USB connectivity with the late...

Re: Controllers on a CMC
Personally, you won't go far wrong with a Gunnar.. I picked one up second hand and unfortunately the controller did give up on me, I went for a new controller and I could not thank Sarah & Steve enough for their assistance. Immediate responses to any small issue encountered. My next CMC will wit...
