Re: Pricing software
Ed209, I-Framer does also include a labour charge and all pricing elements are easily adjusted to suit your own requirements. I have been using I-Framer for over 2 years now and found the support from Mark to be first class (and this is a different Mark from FramR by Framiac). All the catalogue upda...

Re: Pneumatic tab driver
I used to have a Charnwood pneumatic tab gun and for a few years it worked perfectly. It started to developed an occasional misfire that became more and more frequent. For about £60 I thought I’d just buy another but Charnwood stopped selling them. After a little thought I bought an Omer pneumatic g...

Re: Sundry costs
When I first opened the shop I offered small bags of sundries but quickly found it to be a time consumer for very little return. Now I always give hooks FOC to all customers when they collect their framing if they want them. If somebody walks in and asks if I sell hooks/cord/d rings I grab what they...

Agree with Prosperous here. Mine always get stuck down with the offer of a spacer if they want to lift the glass off the jigsaw.

Moulding ID
Tying to match a moulding, does anybody recognise this? It’s about 35mm wide. The frame was made about 10 years ago and the framer is no longer in business so can’t ask him.
Many thanks.

Just curious how you would join the vertical dividers to top and bottom rails.

Jerome,
Like they said - “never work with children or animals”
One of my dogs will wait at the start of an agility run and when I give him the command to start he will just sit there looking at me!

Re: Glass
You are asking for a quality product yet want it cheap - not always compatible. If you are prepared to pay and to avoid wastage why not get Wessex or Centrado to supply a piece cut to size? If you are not worried about high UV protection then something like Centrado’s AR 70 would probably be OK. Als...

Re: CMC Wanted
I would have a word with Sam at Framers Corner for Wizard or Sarah for Gunnar and ask for a visit to get a full demonstration. Not sure if Simons will demo a Valiani. That way you will have something to compare the various options. As a Wizard user I can only say I have been very happy with the supp...

Re: SILVER METALISED PLAQUE FOR SPORTS SHIRT FRAMES
In the past I have created a plaque and printed on photo paper. Create a box and fill it with silver (or any other desired colour) and then add required text over the top.

Re: Mouldings/mountboard to practice on...
Some of the companies I deal with sell mountboard seconds. The prices vary and supply can be intermittent, it might not be cost effective to order just order 10 mountboard seconds but could be worth your while collecting some. Most suppliers also run their own range of boards that are generally chea...

Looks like it could be a bare wood slip painted purple. Have a look at Lion L1691. Arqadia and Rose&Hollis also do a wider version

Try using anti-reflective glass. If the piece is small it shouldn’t cost a great deal.

Re: The White Decision?
When needed we use Lion code 9424, Moldurarte Frame Putty (page 96 of catalogue no 54). It also comes in a variety of other colours and is far easier to apply than any wax fillers.

Re: chop service for a local artist??
You should also consider the wastage need need for damaged/warped moulding. Just because there might be enough moulding in length to make 3.5 frames you may only be able to make 2 good frames. Who takes the hit? All good advice already given.
