Multiple photos how to fix in
Hi I've done two frames recently with multiple apertures, with photos in all windows. On one frame, space was tight so I stuck the pics all the way around. They cockled. On the next, I just secured them at the top. Customer felt the mount was 'coming away' - he's right, the mount isn't sitting flush...

Posters with no mount
Ok don't shoot me I know everything should have a mount or spacer etc but with posters people often just want it straight into the frame. So, assuming I am giving in to this and using diffused 3mm acrylic in directly contact, are there any other measures I should take? E g is it OK to just put the p...

Re: Chevron display
Thanks all.
I like prospero's idea best I think, thanks! This seems cheapest and easiest to replace when needed. Do you have a pic?
Keep other pics coming too; I love seeing other people's shops and how diverse and creative everyone is!

Chevron display
Hello all
Happily, I'm moving to bigger premises. At the moment my chevrons are just on cheap display boards, using the velcro they come with, but I'm wondering if there is a better way.
Show me your chevron displays! Anyone not using velcro?
How can I make it look smart on a budget?
Thanks
Megan

Re: Framing suede leather
Hello I am about to do several of these and also need advice please. I don't really want to sew them as I'm a bit worried about tearing the leather, and also it seems almost as destructive to put sewing holes in as it would be to stick it to something. Customer is happy with sticking down. I'm think...

Re: Ceramic Tile Framing advice, Thank you
Fab, thanks for the reassurance Justintime. I'll definitely get some bondit in as well for future stuff. While we're on the topic of outgassing, and apologies because I'm sure this has been discussed to death, but how do people feel about wood inside frames? I'm thinking specifically of using pine s...

Stupid question alert - double rebate frames
Stupid question alert I'm looking at using one of those double rebated frames to make a few quick boxes for a low budget job Stupid question is, what holds the glass in? Obviously this would usually be the spacer, but with these mouldings where the spacer is effectively 'built in', how does one fix ...

Thanks all.
Justintime thanks I'd not heard of the Bondit, looks good. Id already ordered the CT1 though and have just done a trial with it, and was decided on going with that until I read your post. Says solvent free on the back and there's no high VOC warning. Would you think that would be OK?

Re: Ivory miniatures advice please
Thanks both Thanks Mark I didn't know that about silicone! Very valuable information 🙏 I guess it will have to be mylar but my beef with mylar is that it causes reflection so defeats some of the benefit of AR glass. If I were going to glue them, does anyone have a view on what would be best ...

Eoinb did you complete this?
About to do similar and wondering how you got on and what method you found best

Ivory miniatures advice please
Hello all I have some ivory miniatures to frame. They were previously glued to mountboard  so obviously don't want to do that again. Customer doesn't want invisible thread used. I'm thinking recessed mount with maybe a couple of dots of clear silicone? She would also like the deep black velve...

Re: Banknotes in double sided frame
Thanks both Re double sided, I'm thinking just two sheets of thick acrylic with the notes sandwiched in between. Customer is happy to see the inside of the alu frame from the front, so should be easy. Unless I'm missing something obvious, which is always possible! Thanks Steve, I like the roll...
