Free Mount Cutting Videos

Post by David »

These maybe of interest, over the past year I have been working with Keencut to make a series of mount cutting videos. They are free and no need to register, called the Keencut Picture Framing Masterclass, there are 18 episodes starting with the basics up to more advanced mount cutting. I hope you find them useful and maybe learn a new skill or two.

What a fantastic resource, David.

You're an absolute natural in front of the camera, and have a lovely manner about you.

This will be permanently bookmarked for me.

Hats off to you and Keencut (Refs, can we get a 'hats-off' emoticon thinnggy!?).

Thank you it didn't feel that natural, I did get better though. Hope they come across OK, I've been framing for so long I do alot without thinking about it so hope it's clear to someone who hasn't done it before.

When I say 'natural', I don't mean slick and showbizzy. Rather, you come across as someone who is complete in command of your subject yet, equally as important to me, is in no way arrogant, flash or superior about it. To me, It feels like a good friend who is trying to show another friend skills that'll help them in their life. I think it's called warmth and humility. To abuse a framing term, you nailed it, David! :D

Brilliant to see the Fine Art Trade Guild have included the videos to qualify for CPD credits.
