Sept 12th Manchester - advice, demos and socialising

Post by Keith Hewitt »

I am posting this as I've not seen any mention on the forum and maybe there are some who have not heard about it. The newbie from Southport, who just asked about training, should find it very helpful

We hope you can join us next Wednesday 12th September at the Cornerhouse in Manchester for the Fine Art Trade Guild's brand new event, Making Pictures.

It's an informal evening of chat and learning, with ample opportunity to network with others in the art, printing and framing industry and learn new tricks.

Our 8 demonstrators are experts in their field and have years of knowledge of; making a living as an artist, running a gallery, producing fine art prints and creative and profitable framing.

Why not come and pick their brains?

Address: 70 Oxford Street, Manchester, M1 5NH. http://www.cornerhouse.org

Doors open at 6pm, where we'll have refreshments and sandwiches. A bar is also available.

Tickets are £10 and can be booked in the following ways:

Paypal

Telephone - 020 7381 6616

I was planning on coming to this but change of plan now. There is even a direct train form our village (Holker) to the big Manchester. Was looking forward to seeing a Pete Bingham demo and meeting Steve Goodall. Hope you have a good evening :D I'm a bit envious

David,
It was a good "do". Pete Bingham always pulls a crowd with his hand finishing. Good to see Mr WexPress :giggle: aka Steve Goodall with the guys from Wessex.
Also Hahnemuhle - Garry Sims,
Maxwell Roberts came over from Leeds.
Congrats to Daniel and Debra for organising this first event
Thank you to everyone who made it a success!

Just one minor comment! Next time please dont serve those huge subway sandwiches :o middle aged people dont look elegant with a 6 inch sarnie oozing coronation chicken stuck in their mouths. Is food even needed at such an event :?: . Probably just coffee - tea and water is sufficient.
