A simple cutlery tray!

Post by fusionframer »

Made this today as just finishing a kitchen and had a bit of oak left.

Caused me to think that one of these could be made using oak mouldings if you end up with spare bits. If you look online, oak cutlery trays sell for up to £100 and you could do bespoke sizes for even more.

Just a thought of how offcuts could be used. I made the inserts removable to clean by making slots, but can just glue. The base is ply glued and pinned into rebate i cut, but again, if you are using an oak moulding on its side, rebate will be there for you. Rather than dovetails, mitre and glue with pins and band clamp.
