Police Memorabilia Frame

This was for a retiring sergeant. One of his colleagues brought all the items and asked me to work out the best layout and style.

They were very happy with the result.

My OCDometer is off the scale. I mean, I find the angled badges at the top a little unsettling. Hope you don't mind critique? I'd have looked at adding some more depth, using a double mount incorporating one of the medal/badge colours and sinking some of the larger objects into recesses.

No, I don't mind critique.
When everything was straight it looked very clinical, so the customer agreed with a slight angle on some pieces.
The frame is around 40cm deep but I'm not a fan of sinking larger objects as I feel it just means people peer around the back to see what's happening.

After commenting I then saw the beret post and thought yes like that, then realised that was also your work!

Whatever any of us might think -

"They were very happy with the result".

So well done. You get to eat another day.

I’m happy with ‘random’ angles. I think over regulation is a bad thing in many areas!

Here’s a similar thing I did a year or 2 ago. I spent ages trying to work out a logical method, failed, so just put them in. Customer was thrilled.

As to the contents . . . Don’t ask!

We did a set of Police memorabilia that lent itself very nicely to a symmetrical layout - but I’m also a big fan of that more relaxed random “memory box” look.

As Vintage says, if the customer liked it then that’s a win!
