Hi Mal

Amazing cutting, I love the patterns. How big are they?

Hi David

Size is 260mm x 300mm. Took quite a time to design but did so at twice full size and by using equilateral triangles then combining six to complete the final pattern. The lines were initially design aids but I have left them in place as they don't look too bad; will probably complete another design without the lines.

Have also finished some borders using concentric geometric patterns but presently working on a pattern from floor tiles in the Alhambra Palace.

Reminds me of what I got up to in the early 90’s on my Keencut, this one won the Guilds competition in 1992 if memory serves me well

I then had to make a copy for me as the Guild wanted to keep the original one :sweating:

btw. Mal. Islamic designs are supposed to have a mistake in them. :? Something to do with only God being able to create something perfect. That's one bit of the Qoran I am well and truly in favour of.

In which case he must have been having a off day when he created humans.
Nearly went off on a religious rant then, remembers this is the framers forum.

Nice designs, did you have any trouble with board integrity, with such fine boarders?
Which head did you use?
