CMC and CSV for high volumes.

Post by Hutchcox »

Hello,

I'm currently in the market for a new (and our first) CMC. We do high(ish)-volume framing in set sizes. We currently offer mounts in a select few (A2, A3, A4, A5) but want to offer mounts across all our sizes.

I've currently only gone to see a Valaini in person and am very tempted by it but want to get advice from people who use these machines daily.

Questions:
Out of the big 3 can any of them accepts CSV imports of mounts to cut and then work out the most cost-efficient means to cut them?
Do any of them have cost/pricing analysis built-in?
Who offers the most affordable double-headed option?
Out of the main 3 which would you say is best suited for high volumes?
Who offers the quickest/most reliable support if something goes wrong?
Are there ever any issues getting hold of the blades?

Thank you in advance!

A lot of questions here that I can't answer, but for customer support, I can't speak highly enough of Gunnar.
Sarah has been my point of contact prior and since buying a 2nd hand machine independently. I ping her a whatts app and have an answer or call back often in minutes. She also provided us with free initial training on the machine and offered more advanced training at a later date, all free of charge. I love the machine, its design, its software and the company behind it.
