Yes I've had a go on that - select whole folders, individual images from several folders, etc and press go.

Also get a Panda Icon on my desktop 'Irfanview thumbnails' haven't worked out how to get images in there yet, need to as I cannot, for example. rotate images (from my new camera) in my pictures and it's a pain turning the monitor through 90 degrees all the time!

Perhaps the CMC might not be such a wise choice after all, John...

You need the 'Image' dropdown. Lots of options there including rotation/mirror flip/resize, etc. Also 'Enhance Colours' is handy. Once you have the pic how you want it you need to resave it with File -> Save As if you want to keep the original. Rename it MyPhotoName_fixed or whatever.

 Sorry Áine. That was very insensitive of me........ It's not a real cat btw. I have it on good authority that no cats were hurt in the making of the said software. :D

I'd only glanced at the red icon - looked a bit like the lion you get on eggs.

On closer inspection it looks like a flying cat with a mask on.

Regards the lion on the eggs - old joke....... found a Roman egg - the lion had a Christian in its mouth!

(Plus it was stamped '100 BC')

An experiment.....

Noticed on the forum that sometimes when you click on attached thumbnails - the image is massive - this was not the case with mine until I made Irfanview default.

Why? ... and what can be done to change that?

(Edit - sorted!!! :D )

Robo. Your new camera takes massive pics. 4000x3000 pixels.

That's great for a hi-res source file, but for web purposes you should resize a copy to about 800x640.

Another job for......Irfanview, :P

Easy keyboard command R/L rotate right/left. But also, go to Options->Properties in the JPG/PCD/GIF tab select "Auto-rotate image according to EXIF info".
