3D printing

Post by Abacus »

I’ve just ordered an Ender 3 v2 3D printer. Does anyone else use a 3D printer in your framing business? What do you print?

I have 4 printers, 2 hobby grade filament, a hobby grade resin, and an industrial grade filament machine that uses carbon fiber with continuous fiber.
Most of my printing is for prototyping inventions, fixtures and jigs.

I have a Flashforge ADV3. I don’t use it for framing related work but for developing ideas around the easels I build, prototyping etc

I do however use a CNC for framing related jobs.

I got one, the same one you just ordered, I mainly got it to familiarise myself with the software, as I believe this will be much bigger and better in the future, I have used it to print things for the house and my kids, some covers for my CMC heads and some clamp ends for my 939 saw which actually perform better that the original teflon ones.

I will be designing various clips for holding items in frames like golf balls etc, I will also be buying bigger better machines in the near future.

My latest prints. A hanger for panels or canvases. Use on its own or in pairs and a traditional keyhole hanger.
