Apertures not cuuting correctly on Valiani mat pro 120

Post by Jonny2morsos »

Hi All

We are having a problem with our Valiani Mat Pro 120. When cutting a mount with an outside cut or cutting a mount without an outside cut the aperture does not drop out i.e. there is an under cut.

However if we cut a mount with an outside cut then the aperture undercuts but the outside cut is complete. Alternatively if we cut the mount upside down the the aperture cuts OK! Changing cutting depth has no effect.

Any hints would be appreciated.

Thanks - John

Sounds like you may have to recalibrate the head - have you changed anything on the machine recently - new software - small wheel near the blade.

Before recalibrating I would take the plate off the blade holder (the bit that holds the blade in place - clean thoroughly as any build up of dust here could cause a problem - also clean and check for obstructions on the top and bottom rails - it only takes a small bit of card to cause a problem - worth lubricating at the same time.

check all figures put in to the calibration tables.

if none of that cures your problem you will need to get your manual out - small stack of mount board and get calibrating.
