Saving newly created shape on V Studio

Post by A Few More Words »

For the past few weeks we've just been doing some simple openings with V Studio on our new Maximus. It takes a while to get used to the new software. Today I created a new complex shape using merge and trim etc.. But don't see how to save this shape as a piece of clip art so that it may be reused as an opening on future jobs. Read the manual but just more confused. I am missing a trick here? Please explain the steps required to achieve this. Thanks. Tom

I’m not sure this is possible to save as a .plt via Create. What you can do is open your .vds file in Create, copy your shape (ctrl+c), open a new file and paste (ctrl+v) your shape in into your new file.

Well worth learning the basics with Corel Draw though. I posted a very useful pdf in the Drawing Software post in the sub-forum a while back if it’s of interest.

Thanks for that. Succeeded with copy and paste now. Will investigate later re adding new shapes to templates. Thanks re Corel also.
