Valiani Blades - which ones?

Post by birdman »

I have been looking at ordering a box of blades for our new Valiani CMC 120.

Simons have a only one type of blade at £51.

Lion have two different blades, Eco at £31.80 and other at £54.60.

Can any Valiani experts tell me the difference and if it's worth ordering the Eco blades?

As ever your help is much appreciated.

Don't bother with the Eco blades. By the time you have wasted a few sheets of mount board because they have lost their edge sooner you will wish you spent the extra few quid.

I don't know about Valiani blades specifically, but I would suggest buying the most expensive ones you can find. Price is a pretty good sign of quality when it comes to cutting implements.

The Gunnar blades I use are the best ones they make and seem to be pricey, but they last so long they are cheap, in the long term.

I have had a Valiani CMC for over a year and would only use the Valiani blades, my advice is don't go with the ECO blades.
