Running Windows on a Mac

For those of you who run PC based framing programs but want to run them on a mac this program may be of use. I havent used the PC-MAC version but the UNIX-WINDOWS version works a treat. Not to expenseive at 49 bucks. Im not sure that it is availble for iPAd though.

I have a MacPro and have trawled the net to see if I can run a Gunnar on it if I put an RS232 card in it but can't get a definitive answer

I run Parallels on it with XP....

not worth it dude, will cause u more grief than its worth, buy a cheap desktop, make sure has serial port obviously, will cost you about 300 bucks

i run min off a second hand hp workstation i bought for like 220 euros

loads of dell ones on ebay that are ex office machines, most will be fine for it

if your going to spend 16k on a cmc and you find you can't gunnar run it on your mac, surly £300 on a laptop won't break the bank.

i would suggest not using a laptop for 2 reasons

1. most new laptops dont have a serial port

2. laptop screens are generally way to small if you want to do any for of design on your cmc

Not buying ... renting. I'm not made of money either! it's tough out there. Just had to replace my printer as it died which has put me back a bit building my business so any savings I can eek out are gladly received

my turn over rose by £500 per week shortly after buying my cmc. a loan over 5 years is cheaper or about the same as renting.
