Quark

For those who want a full blown page layout program - but don't want to pay a shed load of cash for it - This months PCPRO magazine has a full version (5) of Quark Express. This is the Rolls Royce of page layout programs and despite being a few versions out of date you will get £800 worth of programme for the price of the magazine.

Excuse my ignorance Mark, but is Quark Express an Apple or PC application?

John - both. But I am fairly certain that the product offered in this case is the PC version (as its a freebie with PCPRO). My job before self employed bliss was graphic design - page make up etc. we used Quark then on Macs.

Difference between the high end page makeup programmes is the ability to create a master page - so the style stays the same if your producing brochures etc + the degree of control over text flow, size, spacing etc.
as a giveaway this is well worth buying the mag - but its no secret that its out there and I had quite a job finding one.

Thanks for the heads up, Mark W.

My brother-in-law, Andrew (Southport) picked me up a copy at the news agent this past week and will post it over to me. I don't think we have this magazine in the U.S.

I may not use this software right away....but at these pirces, who could resist. :D

Is there anyone who would purchase the mag for me and send it out please.
I am happy to fax my Visa details to cover all costs.

If the mag is not available now, would someone be able to copy their disk and send it. See above for payment!

I suspect that each disk has a unique serial number, limiting it to a single registration. In which case a copy of the cover disk would probably be prevented from registering.

The number on my disk is WG5250 1486007

Anyone else have the same number?

I got an unregistered copy, Osgood. Pm me your email address and I will send it to you as a zip file plus the serial text.
