Using suppliers' images

Post by pramsay13 »

Does anyone know if it's okay to use moulding and mountboard images from suppliers on my own website?
It will obviously be to give customers an idea of the type of frames available.
What about the 3D spins from Mainline (Ricky?)
Cheers

I could and I will, but I didn't think I would get anyone at 12.09am so I thought I would try the never offline forum. :P

I have asked, Arqadia , Simon, centrado, radius, all said yes.

Under copy right law, you have to gain permission from your suppliers,

Simon sent me their catalogue via pdf but the images are just as bad as on their website.

I asked Mainline and they said yes including the 3d spins. I think if you are a customer and ask permission then most companies would be OK, it promotes sales for them as well as you.

We allow customers to use the images from our website including our 3d Spins, please send me a an email asking permission, you should keep the permission 'on file' somewhere. If you offer an online framing service you can link to our stocks so your customers can see if the item is available. If you require hi-res images for printing etc you can download them here: http://mainlinemouldings.com/index.php? ... =Downloads

If you would like to offer customers our full range of mouldings without uploading them all to your website then we have created another website without links to us. It is advertised on the forum banners - I won't advertise the site in a thread, unless any of you mention it :giggle:
