I've got an old solid-oak till. The previous occupants at my old shop left it behind. It isn't much use as an actual till, the
paper roll mechanism is missing, but it's handy for putting cash in nonetheless. The really cooooool thing with it is that
when you open the drawer it makes a nice 'ker-ching!' sound that I find enormously satisfying. :D None of your new-fangled beeps.

When you tell your grandchildren about how, when you were their age "you could go to the pictures on a Saturday night, buy 10 Dominoe ciggies', get fish and chips and including the bus fare get change out of 5 shillings" :D

And they say "whats the pictures" :?

Pete, soon kids will be asking what ciggies were..." Is that like pre-historic Vaping?" :head:

...all upcoming programmes on E4 are totally unappealing. 'The Big Bang Theory' is the only gem in an ocean of dross.
Anyone remember listening to Radio 1?

It doesn't seem long since I bought a very tasty PC monitor. 22" crt job, which was quite a lump. Been stuck in a cupboard for a year
or two and I just thought What the heck am I saving this for. It cost fair bit of cash and it's still works, but it is never going to be used
ever again. So out it had to go. I don't remember carrying it up the stairs, but I'll remember carrying it down.

Ahh, I know what you're saying but I can't bring myself to get rid of old tech - even if I have no use for it. I just can't! I've got an attic full of 'treasures'

I have all my '70s Hi-Fi kit squirrelled away. Linn-Sondek turntable which I paid £360 for. That was about six weeks wages then.
Came without tone arm and single speed. Also TEAC open-reel tape recorder which I bought second-hand from a shop on
the Edgeware Road in '75, the week before VAT went up to 25%.

Ah the Linn.....Nirvana, isn't it, mmmm?

I could only run to a Rega Planar 3/A&R A60 amp / Heybrook HB1 speakers. MP3/CD man these days, with remote control :D

Seriously thinking of getting rid of my old vinyl albums, as they seem to be valuable these days (all only played twice: once to check it, 2nd time to put it onto cassette...TDK SA 90). I can feel an ad coming in the stuff for sale section!!

My auntie has just dropped by to bring me some bacon. She reckons to come on a Saturday.
Trouble was, I could have sworn it was Sunday.
But fret not, I can put the lottery on that I missed last night (thought I had) and have another lie in tomorrow. :D

Isn't the first time I have lost a day during the week. :ninja:

Reminds me of the old gag: "I'm currently on the Whiskey Diet........I've lost 3 days this week"

Anyone else out there remember when comedians actually told jokes!

"Would you like a belt in the back?" says the Tailor. :D

"Would you like a smack in the gob?" replies the man. :o
