Workshop snacks and refreshmemets.

I really like my real coffee and I have got one of these coffee machines, which takes coffee pods. One particular type coffee pod also includes the milk in the same pod as the coffee and as there are 16 pods in one box costing £4 per box, I do not only do not need any separate milk, but instead of only 8 cups of coffee from one box of 16 where half the pods are milk pods, I get 16 cups of coffee per box for £4 which is 25 pence each. Not being currently strong enough to stay of my feet for really long extended periods, I find it very helpfull to sit down at regular intervals and a quick coffee, quickly puts me back to rights.

What to does everyone else like for workshop snacks and refreshments?

I get the Rich Roast instant from LDL. 1.69for a 200g jar. I get three jars at a time.
My taste in coffee is not as refined as you Mark.
If it's brown and wet I'll drink it. I do like brown sugar in it though. (1.38 per 1000g LDL. :P )

I get some really bad headaches since my stroke, paracetamol does not stop the headaches, neither does instant coffee, bur real coffee gets rid of the head aches. I have trouble understanding why, my doctor says that there is a logical explaination for this!

Possibly try Nurafen Plus*, which is ibuprofen + codeine. It's quite expensive compared with unbranded ibuprofen, but as I say, it has codeine in it. I find the Nurafen Plus much more effective than paracetamol.

* Assuming it doesn't interfere with any other medication you may be taking, but the pharmacist will ask anyway.

I used to drink a lot of coffee, and if I didn't top up regularly during the day and before I went to bed, I got withdrawal symptoms in the form of headaches. I had to wean myself off it one year before I went abroad on holiday as I couldn't risk not having access to my caffeine fix. I only drink decaffeinated coffee now.

Douwe Egberts Gold for me. Yes it's instant, but a step up from other instants :D Oh, and chocolate in the fridge.

I have a Tassimo machine at home with the pods and have thought about one for the workshop, but it would probably lead to me drinking even more coffee!

I have the Keurig brand of coffee pod maker that allows me to use either the pods, use regular ground coffee, or brew a pot. I mostly use the ground coffee brand that I have used for years. To use regular ground coffee they have a plastic reusable coffee pod.

I wander next door into the kitchen and make an espresso.

2 mug (6cup?) Stainless steel VonShef caffetiere, with Sainsbury's #4 Itallian blend. Keeps the coffee hot for half an hour, with no flavour burn, and minimal prep.

God help the bugger who takes it from the kitchen, where it lives, unless that bugger is me, in which case it was needed.

I am considering buying an additional microwave oven and an additional coffee pod machine for down in the shop. I probably with go for some cook in the microwave bags of Uncle Ben's rice, which I already like in certain flavours. Tomato and basil, and spicy mexican are already amoung my favourites. Prices per bag are typically £1-50, and they are quite fillng and tasty as well. Most flavors will cook in about two minutes!
