Moulding Lengths

Post by iorek »

Hi all

I hope you are well.

Is it possible for Estlite to calculate the length of moulding required for a frame? I currently work it out separately.

I see a highlight "Get moulding length" but cannot figure out how to utilise it. Or even if it does what I'm hoping it does.

Best wishes

David

download/file.php?id=14474

Hopefully this link works but if not then search for “off cuts formula” and you should be able to find a file to download that does what you want.

I suggest moving this post to the Product Support For Estlite section.
John McAfee built Estlite and this forum and is always happy to help with questions.
If you need a more urgent response to a query, his contact number is actually in the Estlite customer/contact pages.

The moulding length required to complete the job at hand is shown circled in red. When using imperial units, as in this example, the length is displayed in feet.

The calculation for this figure takes into consideration the moulding width and applies the current waste factor.

Highlights in EstLite are entirely user defined. As an example, you could set one highlight to mean - get a quantity of moulding in order to complete the job. Then when it comes time to place an order with your supplier, jobs requiring a purchase are easily spotted in your database by their highlight colour.
