John - now that you have a quote facility it would be usefull to be able to email the quote (and invoice) directly to customers.

On a roll - might as well push my luck - History screen displayed in order of due date - urgent jobs could then be seen in the order of priority.

Yikes Mark!

Steady on.

The History Screen thingy has been requested by a few users and should not be a problem so I'll see about including it in the next release. However, emailing your quotation, presumably as a PDF attachment, would be fairly major and might involve an additional charge to cover PDF royalties. Not an area that I'm familiar with, but I will look into it as I like the idea myself.

Yikes ? i know it was the second posting just pushed you too far.

With the email invoice suggestion, i was thinking more along the lines of being able to print to file - as i am not sure what format you use to print the present docket i am probably on thin ice in my assumptions of what can be done to the output file. idealy i envisaged a very straight forward system of - print to email button - this then opened up the invioce in outlook - user adds recipient address and Bobs your Uncle Robert. Dont I make it sound sooo easy - 10 minutes computer tapping and you should have it done????????????????javascript:emoticon('')

You got me in to this now Mark.

Until something more elegant comes along...

Download and install the free CutePDF Writer from http://www.acrosoftware.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp

Now when you select Print from the Print Preview Screen, you will have the option of saving the docket as a PDF file which you can then attach to your email. And Fanny's your Auntie (as long as she has Acrobat Reader, of course).

Just tried one, works a treat.
