Moulding ID

Post by Tim »

HI

I know this might sound a bit cheeky (especially if there's anyone from Heartbreak Publishing here) but does anyone know what this moulding is. The print size is approx 20" x 16", so at a guess the moulding's around 45-50mm?

I have a customer who would like another print (not a Vettriano) framed in a similar moulding to match one she already has.....

it's Arqadia 235500004 page 162 , but I think you will find it's out of stock and has been for months.
Had a collector email me in January, I checked with Arqadia, O/S until end of March, customer comes in and of March, I check, O/S until end of April, so went for the one above it 237780004 ( ask for no strapping on package as it marks V/Easy) Could be the gallery (or gallery's framer) where they sell these are forward ordering the moulding so it's not in stock for long :head:

I first noticed this moulding on the Heartbreak Publishing stand at Springfair two years ago and dragged my Arqadia rep over to tell me which of their mouldings it was.

Heartbreak had all Vettriano's ltd ed prints displayed in that moulding and they looked pretty good.

So I ordered a couple of lengths and started showing it to my customers. So far I have sold just one length! so I have one length left if it is of interest.

Steve - I know what you mean about the strapping on Arqadia bundles. The drivers lift the bundle by the plastic straps and damage the moulding. I have had to ask for a credit on as much as 50% of the order value at times.

If the length I have is any use to you I don't mind cutting into 4 pieces to size (or slightly oversize for you to finish) and sending it.

When I mentioned that there would likely be a 'long' delay in obtaining an exact match from the suppliers, the customer said - "Oh god, not again, could you reframe this one as well in something else?" So I bit my lip before accepting the additional order........
