Brass Plaque Suppliers

Post by Bagel Framer »

Hi all,

I'm trying to source a brass plaque supplier for a small self adhesive plaque in a frame - other than the local cobblers, can anyone recommend someone who could do me a 1" x 3" plaque with the following on it:

Andrew M Clements

Sapper 24290018 Royal Engineers 1972 - 1978

PC 172618 Metropolitan Police 1978 - 2000

I got one quote of a firm in Bournemouth but that was a silly price in my opinion!

Thanks,

Sean

I tend to go to the local trophy shop
Used to spend about £5 depending on the amount of wording

I reckon that wording would be about £20 from the local key cutting place.
I'd probably be a bit wary of getting one online as the plaque could be really cheap and nasty and look like it.

I've been using "Names on gifts" in Birmingham. As far as I can remember, I've always received the name plate in the post the following day.

Having always been very pleased with the results, I've never tried anyone else and therefore don't have anyone else to compare them with.

Contact details for "Names on gifts" used to be included in the Lion catalogue, but I've Googled a link to their contact page below just in case.

I've always used http://www.warwickcrystal.co.uk/shop/en ... /eng01.htm and been very happy with the results.

Used my local Timpson once when I was in a hurry and wasn't too excited by the price or finish. Warwick Crystal have a good range of colours, sizes and fonts and delivery within 2 or 3 days. I think they have an eBay shop too.

Hi, we supply plaques to a lot of picture framers from as little as £3.72 plus VAT and delivery.
I'm not sure how to place an ad on this site, so forgive the little sales pitch here:

With our High Technology Personalised Plaques the possibilities are endless to give a stunning the perfect finishing touch to your display or framed item.
Our personalised plaques are made using the latest dye sublimation gas colouration technology.
Dye sublimation is a process where the colour is injected into the metal in gas form. Instead of etching, engraving, or printing, the dye sublimation technique actually changes the colour of the material, so your plaque will last as long as the material does.

This technique means that there are many more possibilities for creating a superb looking plaque, with different fonts, colours, logos, graphics, and images.
We offer these plaques in a range of sizes to suit our bases, picture framing requirements, and the stylish, contemporary acrylic plaque stands that we also supply.
