I have another customer trying to match a moulding that they have had several pictures framed in previously, and I can't see it in A&T, Arqadia or Lion - does anyone else recognise it from somewhere else? It's very very dark blue, but probably looks black in the photos. Any clues would be much appreciated! Thanks for looking.

Re: Name that Moulding!
It looks like the plain black version of Simons 1229 (it's the same but just has a gold line on the sight edge), but it looks like the plain one (which did have quite a blue hue to it) has been pulled as it doesn't appear in the latest catalogue. I'd say the Arqadia one was the same thing but it isn't in the current catalogue either so looks like that one has also been pulled. It's one of those mouldings that has been around forever but has finally bitten the dust.
If they will accept having a bit of gold on it then you should be fine

Not found on the website, or on p149 of my catalogue (Vol 13) - presumably discontinued?Steve N wrote:Try Arqadia 31916700 page 149

They haven't had a picture framed in it for about six or seven years by the looks of it, so the chances of it being discontinued were fairly high! Thanks for everyone's ideas.Tudor Rose wrote:It looks like the plain black version of Simons 1229 (it's the same but just has a gold line on the sight edge), but it looks like the plain one (which did have quite a blue hue to it) has been pulled as it doesn't appear in the latest catalogue.
