SIC code?

Post by Jo »

My Controlled Waste Transfer Note from my local council is asking for my SIC code this year - never been asked before and I have no idea which one to pick from the very long list. Anyone else had to pick a SIC code, and if so, what have you used?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

The one i was told to use by our local council is - 47789 Other retail sale of new goods in specialised stores

Also used it when I used two other companies to take away our waste in the past

Depends what type of business you are, your accountant should know for tax purposes I think.
