Blade sharpening

Post by nickhood »

Hi, I have had my blades sharpened by Lion for many years. I used to drop them off at Lion south until it closed then gave then to Roland on the van delivery for delivery to Birmingham but this has now stopped. Can any one recommend a good blade sharpener in or near the Hertfordshire / North London area experienced in Morso blades please.
Thank you

I send mine to Mainline. They arrange the pickup and delivery.

Same for us ^^^^. We send 3 sets at a time as this makes it more economical for the cost of posting. Mainline do all the arranging, you just have to have them ready in a parcel for collection. We've used Mainline for years and have always been very happy with their service. When we've had issues with our blades (not their fault) they've taken the trouble to phone and discuss it and they're very knowledgeable and helpful. We would highly recommend them.

I use two companies at the moment, Centrado and Wessex, one or both surely cover your area, both use their own van and both do a great job.

I've never "sent" my blades to anyone - could not be doing with that! At one time, like you, I could take them somewhere but since I couldn't it's always been collection/delivery on a company's van.

I've never thought of Wessex.
