how do i measure a slip moulding on the morso? only getting splinters
when i scratch my head!

Depends what you mean by 'slip'. To me a slip is just a flat bit - no rebate.

If you mean a what I call a 'fillet', a thin piece shaped like a 4 on it's back it's just a matter of measuring the upper part
that goes under the rebate of the main moulding, or mount window. It's usually about 5-6mm. Best to cut slightly long as
greater accuracy is needed and easier to shave a bit off than shave a bit on.

Add twice this value to the opening it has to go in and set the Morso 0 on the slider to the result. Offer it up to the
opening. If it's only a nidge too long, try it on the opposite side. Frame/mount windows vary. Not a lot but they do.
If it fits to opposite side - OK. Leave it there and cut another for the first side a little bit shorter. Talking fractions of a mm here.
Repeat for the short sides.
You are grappling with very small measurements here but it's vital to hand fit in order to get it perfect.
