Morso blades

Post by whitbyframer »

I've just fitted a pair of blades that I've had for a year but bought second hand, and have found that the front of them are not quite coming all of the way down so that a tail is being left on the cut moulding. Just wondering if this means that they've been ground too much and are now finished?

My other pair of blades are fine.

Doesn't necessarily mean they're had it. As long as they are sharp and cut well the hardened edge has not been ground off completely.
You can get them to cut fully by adjusting the tie-rod between the pedal and cutter block. Couple of turns should do it. It does mean
you will lose a bit of cut width-wise, but not a problem unless you are cutting very wide mouldings.
