Sourcing parts for Logan Pro Saw

Post by PhillipsPhrames »

Hi

Just dipping my toe in the framing world. Bought some 2nd hand equipment including a Logan F100-2 Pro Saw. There's a part missing (see on attached photo's) but I cannot find anywhere to get parts for this model. The saws themselves only seem to be available through Amazon or eBay. They even seem to be on the Logan website anymore.

Is there anywhere in Ireland or England that supports them?
Is this model now obsolete?

Advice gratefully received
Thanks in advance
Paul

I looks kike you are missing the pressure pad from your left hand clamp. Finding spares for this is likely to be really difficult. It's probably easier to improvise something your self. I'd be surprised if any stockists in the UK, or Ireland would be thinking about stocking spares for a hobby item like that.

Can you use it with a couple of rachet clamps?

Yeah, I'll rustle up something. Just surprised there's no-one supplying/supporting them. Is this model obsolete now?

It might be, but maybe not! Suppliers stock what suits them. Other models, probably don't interest them all that much. If they are not a specially appointed dealer, or the manufacturer does not care whether they support that particular model for spares, what's in it for them? Probably not a lot! A lot of Logan stuff are not huge price ticket items, so why would they want to sell you spares to keep an older model still going, when they would rather sell you the latest model instead?

A couple of rachet clamps, probably do a better job for less money anyway!
