I use a lot of the Larson Juhl Oak. Unfortuanately its coming in a very strange pale pinkish colour . Any advice on wood dye etc. to make it look like Oak would be appreciated. A carpenter i know suggested that it is an American oak..

I think you'll find that Rose and Hollis are a lot cheaper and perhaps more consistent.

There are 2 common types of oak.
One is named "white oak" and the other is "red oak". The red oak has a distinctive warmer color.
