Hello all.

Looking for a bit of advice about the rebate supports on my Morso. As I move the blades forward whilst cutting moulding, the left hand mitre support tends to catch on the underside of the moulding and and everything locks up. Is there meant to be grease in the track where the support slides back and forth? Any help appreciated.

No, the supports need to be set for a small amount of clearance under the rebate sight edge. Waxing the surfaces on the Morso's rebate suports, which might come into contact with the moulding, may help a little. I clean out the channels which the rebate supports side in and give the channels a squirt of GT85 teflon lubricant spray, which seems to help a little. I've not seen this recommended anywhere, so don't think that this is anything officially suggested.

Morso advise not to lubricate this channel but to keep clean with lighter fluid. I have used a dry film lubricant in the past, it improves it for a while. Depends on the wood too, some wood the rebates slide with, some not.

Thanks for the help, glad I didn't put grease in there. My supports have a fair bit of side to side motion so perhaps they're a bit worn, it's a fairly old machine.

The Gt85 evaporates and leave a dry coating of teflon, which just leaves just enough to make it slide alightly more easily.
