Oversize Foam Core Board

I'm looking for oversize white foam core. Minimum 1500x1500, but ideally 2000x2000 it can be 5mm or 10mm thick.

None of the normal framing suppliers do anything that large yo my knowledge. I'm not even sure that it is made in big enough sheets. I was wondering if anyone has connections in the sign or printing industry who may have some ideas.

My Client's artwork is actually produced directly on the foam core, so there cannot be any joins. If we were able to source the type of face paper/card that foam core is made from in a wider roll, then perhaps that could be glued onto the surface to cover the join.

Any help would be appreciated

Has he thought about working on Dibond or a similar stable board. Working on foamcore sounds so prone to damage before you get your hands on it...

Have you tried Wessex pictures, they used to do a 10mm thick sheet of foamboard which was about 4 foot by 8 foot. I don't thick that it was to a conservation specification though, but when I ordered a sheet, that was all I could get in that sort of size. I needed 5 foot by 6 foot and I needed to cut off a piece from one end and glue it on the the narrower with PVA glue and cocktail sticks pushed in to the edges of the piece of foamboard. I did it as a bit of a long short, amazingly enough it worked really well. I was not really expecting it to work, but it worked well.

The reason for Foamcore is that the artist sticks pins into it!

The 4 ft x 8ft sheet is 1220x 2440 and obviously the artist needs square not oblong!

As to conservation standards . . . . . these large originals sell for tens of thousands of pounds, but the artist will not use the conservation foamcore because it is off white not white!

Oh, that sounds like a special order! How do you get that in today's difficult times.
