Steeltrak Squaring arm scale

Post by framesink »

Good morning

I’ve picked up a used Steeltrak 65”
and it didn’t have a LH or RH squaring arm scale. I purchased both but wondering if anyone has a photo of there’s so I can see exactly where the scales are meant to stick.

Thanks

I don’t know the machine but I think the principle would be the same for the Excalibur.

Try this - set a horizontal stop anywhere you like and cut, accurately measure what has been cut and set that measurement on the scale to the stop, repeat on other side.
Then turn that same piece through 90 degrees in the machine and set the vertical scale to it

(Edit) I see you have the vertical scale fitted already, but the above will confirm how accurate it is. It’s not so important as it’s not used to cut.

I would do as John suggests in terms of calibration. I have attached picture of my Steeltrak in case it is useful for you.
