open mitre - any video clips

Post by upload »

im have a problem with open mitres , I think my morso need re-calibrated (im not getting a good 45angle cut, Seems to be offset). I have read a few posts about this, But still no too sure how to fix,
anyone know if there are any video clips (youtube) showing how to do this , Easier to see how to do.
Many thanks.

or anyone Stirling/glasgow Area who can do this for me .

The instructions used to be in the Lion catalogue in an article written by Pete Bingham but unfortunatley it is not in the current edition.

I have emailed Martin Harrold the MD of Lion asking if he could add it to the Info Store section of their website.

We will see what happens.

Forum member framing engineer (Neil Stout) has a DVD covering morso maintenance, I am not sure if it covers what your looking for, but I would have thought it does.

Martin Harrold has just emailed me back and he is going to check their archived material and talk to Pete Bingham at their event on Sunday.

Thinking back I am sure someone has posted the instructions on here before just a matter of getting the terms correct in the search facility.

Ring me tommorrow and I will talk you thought it. Tel 07854728840

You will need a good metal streight edge and a small enginner square, your blade spanner and a alan key that fits the bottom blade. You will also need a wide moulding or square timber section about 3 inches wide

in preparatiom make sure you machine is clean and oiled and your underpinner is also clean and free of glue build-up.

It's not rocket sceince it's just following a set of basic rules that you will always need to remember.

Kind Regards
