Hi! I'm Pete - I am A Newcomer To Framing

Post by peteoliver »

Hi! I'm Pete(r)
I am situated in Dorset Southern UK and quite new to framing but trying to learn as fast as I can!
The story starts with my son who studied photography at school, the bug soon gripped myself and my wife. They have since joined a local camera club and often enter competitions where the prints have to be mounted and/or framed. They are also now hoping to exhibit and sell some of their work in the future. So being the backroom boy I edit the photo's and try to mount/frame their prints for them to the best of my ability.
I recently purchased second hand a Keencut Ultimat 1200 and have been using/learning with that via trial and error, although this last Thursday I collected an Ultimat Gold 1200 and I am now getting to grips with that. I hope to perfect my bevel cuts and v grooves and also gain some tips in the art of framing. I'm hoping there might be a little space/help for this willing newbie here?

Best Wishes, Keep Safe
Pete
