Hello from darkest Devon!

Hello!

At the end of February I was lucky to be given the opportunity to take over the use of the framing equipment and stock at Hannah's at Seale-Hayne, near Newton Abbot. Having made the mounts for my photographs for many years it was great to be able to move on to framing. So at the moment I'm self-taught with guidance from from a good friend who used to run Chelston Gallery in Torquay. I've been waiting to see how the business went before committing the cash towards a proper course or two. Thankfully it's gone very well, so in the new year I'll get myself on a Fine Art Guild course. Any recommendations as to who, what, and where gratefully recieved.

Kind regards,

Graham.

Hi Graham

Welcome, first advice is to learn to do things properly - believe me it'll save you money in the long term :)

Plenty of great people on here, don't be afraid to ask for help (I've asked loads of basic stuff)

Hope things work out for you

Hello Graham

And welcome to another Devon framer. We'd noticed your signs up at Hannah's last time we were there (during Open Studios). We are in Dawlish so not too far from you, feel free to pop in if you are in the area.

You will find loads of very useful information on here.

Wow, a new local framer and if I'm thinking correctly in a promising location as well. I know Seale-Hayle and if your equipment is still in the same room, I've been in your very workshop on the Public opening day.

May I wish you a happy and successful future. Please feel free to pop in if you are ever in Bovey Tracey.

All the best,
Mark
