Hi there, Dean here, I have just started my own art and framing business in Tervuren just to the East of Brussels serving the quite significant expatriate community in and around Brussels. I have been a stay at home Dad for 10 years (safety engineer before that). I am an amateur artist and in a previous life studied and worked in graphic design in signmaking and newspaper industries.

I searched for ages to find something that was enjoyable to me, transferable (my wife works for big corporate so tend to move location every few years), could fit in with the family and hopefully turn a profit. I hope I've found it in framing, I think I have?!

I have just set up the workshop in December and now have a few orders coming in following stands at Christmas Bazaars and art exhibitions. More marketing to do and I have much to learn but so far so good...

I look forward to hearing from any fellow framers, I'm sure I will be needing to pick your collective brains on the occasional job!

Best wishes

Dean

I had a call from a lady in Brussels the other day, they got hold of me via my website. During the conversation she complained about the cost of framing in Belgium! Nice to know Belgium framers have to face some of the same the same things as we do!

Hi Dean

I used to live in Tervuren, lovely part of the world, and I would imagine a good location for your business.
Good luck,
Barry
