Hi everyone,

I'm new to framing, and before shelling out on an expensive course and equipment, I'd love to get to grips with the essentials of framing. I'm here to offer my services, for free. If your business is within a driveable distance of Bristol, please let me know...

I'm 32, female, with a god eye for detail etc.

Charlie

For free? ie no cost to the business in time, training etc? there are plenty of courses around and framers who offer training some very close to you. My advice would be take a days one to one training (pays for) with an experienced framer. And take it from their.

Welcome to the forum Charlie.

I tend to have to agree Alan, taking on a novice actually incurs expenditure in time time, a luxury that most of us don't have. Also your teacher will be training up a potential rival. So really it doesn't make much business sense, to train someone whom you will not then have the benefit of their employment.

Your best bet is to go on a course and get the feel of it.
