Hello everyone.
I've only just joined the forum and I'm only just starting on Framing. I've recently retired and can now do the woodworking that I've wanted to do for a long time - I see framing as a part of this. I was on a weekend woodworking course last week and there was a Morso in the workshop. I immediately warmed to it (perhaps it's something to do with retirement?) As a result of this, and I'm not sure I'm posting this next bit in the right place, I'm looking for a Morso. What experiences do people have on getting the machines from A to B after buying one? Oh, as you can probably tell from my username, I'm from, and live in, Devon.

Martin

Welcome to the forum Martin :handshake:

I've moved my morso twice now and both times used a good heavy sack truck. It is no more difficult than moving a washing machine around. We did however use a van with a tail lift which made it very easy to transport :D

Folk have got them into cars, here's one story https://www.theframersforum.com/viewtop ... 32&t=16645

Just be careful of the blades and lock them down out of the way :sweating:

Cheers,
Dave.

Hello Martin :D and welcome to the FF.
As you are just getting started this is the place to be so, do not hold back with any questions.

Very good luck with your new venture.

BTW with a name like Martin I hope you don't mind if I call you "Doc" :giggle:

Peter.

Thanks for the welcome folks.
I think I've found a good place.
Call me Doc poliopete? - I'm not that well qualified :)

Hello Martin and welcome,

Nice to have another member from Devon and I wish you not only success in your new venture, I also hope that you will find enjoyment in it as well. I have to some degree a new beginning in so far as I have recently relocated to new premises and I am still getting the new location sorted and fitted out.
