West of Scotland Newbie

Post by Sibbs »

Hi folks,

Another newbie here. I have been skulking around here for a few weeks reading up on the wealth of knowledge that is on here.

My name is Andy. I have not long left the forces and decided to set up framing as a part-time venture and see how it takes off. I have to admit that I actually feel that I have found something in life that I really enjoy! :D

I managed to get my hands on a morso guillotine, underpinner and ultimat gold mount cutter for a really decent price. Give or take a £100 for replacement parts I'm happy with them.

I am looking forward to reading more of everyone's thoughts and advice, who knows, I might even be able to pitch in with something. Don't hold your breath! :)

Cheers

Andy

Welcome Andy,

These forums are a great resource. Good luck with your new passion, and perhaps I'll see you at the Spring Fair in Birmingham in a few weeks.

Cheers,

John

All the best Andy and the same to all newbies.

I have been around for a while now but I am still very much a rookie, especially when you see what all these guys and gals are capable of!!

Hi Andy,

Welcome to the forum and nice to see someone else on here from the West of Scotland.

We are also relatively new to framing in real terms - been going for about 2 years down in Prestwick and business is slowly but surely picking up.

If we can be of any help at all, or if you'd like to pop by for a cuppa and a chat about some of the do's and don'ts that we have experienced over the last couple of years, drop us a line.

Tke care and happy framing,

Barry

Cheer Barry, I might just take you up on that sometime. Got family in Stewarton so not that far from you.

Hi Andy,

Been offline for the last 3 or 4 weeks due to work commitments (not framing, sadly, which is more my wife's job - but my proper day job).

If your interested in dropping by, the kettle is ready and willing - give me a call on 07811 331633.

Cheers

Barry
