Thank you! Been making & finishing frames for over twenty years and still get excited about the whole aspect of framing. Really enjoy seeing other framers work. Would like to recommend a very good framing book : Framing In The Golden Age (ISBN 90-6630-278-X).

My copy is now out of the book case, dusted and shrink wrapped. Unbelievable price, I was presented with the book in 1995. Thanks for the comments regarding my web site.

We used to live in Snettisham until 2004 and were not aware of you then. Do you do work for the north Norfolk Galleries?

Kept a caravan at Heacham South Beach until 2010.

I've noticed while collecting books that Amazon (especially US sellers) often list rare or hard to find titles at very high prices, but if you check back regularly you find the price of drops to more realistic values.
The book that Geoff recommends is one of a handful I am yet to add to my collection, it usually goes for around £250 to £300 (AbeBooks currently at £285) although I have seen it for £150 and wish I had got it then!

That sounds more reasonable Richard. Many years ago I worked for a company (John Davies Framing, London) sometimes gilding, but usually finishing all of the gold frames they made which is how I was presented with the book, he, John Davies, being a contributor to it's publication.
