Hello from Penrith
I would like to briefly introduce myself if I may. I am based in Penrith, Cumbria. I have taken an interest in picture framing as a hobby, with a longer term plan to do small scale framing projects for family & friends. After researching equipment available & on the advice of others in the trade I purchased some second hand framing equipment & have been playing around for a couple of weeks with varying degrees of success/failure! I have found this site to be most useful when looking for tips and advice. One thing I have learned so far is that I clearly have much to learn!

Hi and welcome to the forum,
I used to have holidays around your area as a youngster and also across the border in Galloway. When we travelled to Galloway, it was either through the lake district, or up the A1 and then the A66 and A75. I must get around to re-visiting the area one day. I had a lot of happy times there!
The M6 did not exist then!

I was in the same position 6 months ago.
Welcome aboard ~ lots of help available on here and your requirement to learn will soon become at least somewhat balanced, by the info available and provided. It strikes me that you never stop learning with the framing business though
