A former colleague had to frame the hair taken from the customer's deceased mother. Glad I didn't get that one!

its a juggle between a butterfly or a the fireplace.

The Fireplace was funny, customer wanted a large Ash wood surround, hand finished to match the marble below.
She knows I deal with 4 pieces of wood and she only want a 3 sided frame :giggle:

Not going to complain at all it put food on the table.

We've had some taxidermy stuff in too - a while ago we had a hare in a running pose (named Hartley of course) and from the same customer we currently have in 3 birds arranged on a branch. The birds had flown into the side of the large greenhouses belonging to the customer's company and he didn't like the idea of just throwing them away, so he sent them to a taxidermist to mount up and we now have to frame them the same way as the hare.

The most disgusting thing in for framing has to be the used Viagra packet and the used tube of KY Jelly that were framed up as a Christmas present for someone a few years back. I wore gloves to do that one!

Love the idea of the witches wand ready for use

This one I posted recently has to be up there http://theframersforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=12441.

Most 'orrible one was a caesarean section birth - the proud Dad wanted to show everyone in the shop, a few walked out!

Weirdest customer takes off a necklace with animal bits (teeth, claws etc) on and dangles it over mount and frame samples with head tossed back, eyes closed, going "MMMMMMMMMMMMMM" to decide which are best.

A set of false teeth, and a mummified dog bat ( pretty horrific looking ).

I've framed an original Banksy a few years ago. 'But Banksy paints on walls', I hear you say! Indeed - this was a lump of render containing an original Banksy mouse that had been crowbarred off of the wall.

I also framed a leopard skin once - photo below. It was a museum piece over 100 years old, so nothing dodgy before anyone asks!

An old pocket watch that had to be hinged so it could be wound, a sporran, snake skin 9ft long. Couple of shovels of sand off a certain beach, driftwood from same place.

This one came to mind, when I read this post, over 30 years ago, pub owners were investing in the decor of their establishments and a young taxidermist got a commission to provide a Gryphon or Griffin for a hostelry of that name. He acquired a large grey cat (dead) from a local vets and a buzzard from a road kill. Created a model, headless cat rampant with the buzzards head and wings superimposed suitably on its upper parts. I framed it in a picture frame case, with aged stained mouldings to look as if it was a artifact of venerable provenance.
