Anyone recognise A0S10 as a moulding code?

Hello

Trying to find an obeche moulding with code A0S10 & not been able to find the supplier. Anyone know who supplies it?
It's larger version of Rose & Hollis's SW9332 obeche.

I don't know of exactly that profile. The gessoing tends to blur the outline though...

Wessex PW28 is close if not the actual one. It's 1 3/4" wide.

Similar to Wessex PW28 but back edge is taller more like PW116 - width is 30mm

Have done a sketch to illustrate, hoping that code A0S10 makes sense to someone?!

It is also fairly similar to Ashworth and Thompson's 54076.62 or 5426.62 both of these are factory finished pine mouldings. I don't have an up to date A & T catalogue so it might not be in the latest one! This sort of profile was also quite popular at one time with Frinton Mouldings, or was it Wessex pictures?

I'm trying to find more of my old catalogues and in particular a catalogue from Handmade Mouldings which used to be in Washington, Sussex, but the company closed when it's proprietor died perhaps about 6 to 10 years ago.

Handmade mouldings had some very interesting old and traditional profiles and from what I remember, perhaps something very similar to what you are looking for. If it was a Handmade Mouldings profile, there's a good chance that Norfolk Mouldings might have the tooling as they were the supplier to Handmade Mouldings.

Where are you getting the AOS10 moulding code from? Is it quoted somewhere on the frame or from some paperwork. I'm wondering if the latter whether sight of that may gives clues as to origin.

Norfolk moulding was a good call - have just had a look & it's very similar to WW116 off the shelf (also similar to A16 rose & hollis) which will be miles easier than having one profiled
Have also had the heads up that it may be a John Jones profile especially made for a local framer (which is where this was originally framed).

With A16 (R&H), PW28, PW15 & PW116 (Wessex) & WW116 (Norfolk Moulding) I should have it covered - otherwise Norfolk moulding for some lengths.


The A0S10 code is from the customer - no paperwork unfortunately - he also had SW9332 which I recognised but not this code.

Your customer has one hell of a memory if his recollection is without paperwork or source information. Anyway pleased you have identified a suitable solution.

Code was from an email from his current framer in N London - so the John Jones pointer makes sense.
