John Jones

Post by simoonez »

I heard yesterday that John Jones are ceasing to trade in the middle of February. Anyone else heard this? I can't find anything online about it beyond a forum post.
A bit surprising though. Surely they're not feeling the squeeze?

We've also heard this via an artist customer who usually got their boards made by them. Very sad news.

I was told about that a while ago by a customer who wanted my to take on a big job, but it was during the period while I was without a shop and as he has a home in Devon and a home in London, he took it to John Jones. He was tipped of to recover his job before he lost the chance.

I was surprised to hear of the demise of such a well known and respected company in this business. Very sad news.

John Jones Going West...

Having read the article and shivered, it makes working in Devon, Dorset & Somerset (see above) all the more appealing, somehow.
Carry on, happy framers!
