Just found this in the loft, bought it years ago when I was a newbie to framing, it's really for fixing glass in window frames but I used to use it to fit backboards in, I think I might start using it again once I've oiled it.
It uses the 13mm triangles I think ( have looked in LION catalogue) no joy , can anyone tell me where to buy these ?

That's a blast from the past.

I used one those all the time in the past. If I recall correctly, they were prone to problems, with triangles often spraying far and wide.

IMOH I think the guns most used today a far superior and much nicer colours

Still got the bruises on my hand from using one of them.

It would destroy 1/2" Brown Spoon GL if you didn't support the back when firing the triangle in.

Have one identical. You can't get 13mm triangles but if you have the little 'tongue' which slips into the
feed chute, you can use Fletcher 11mm triangles which are available from Lion. I preferred the 13mm
over the ubiquitous 'framers' points.
I used it for years with 11mm tris but now I use the Fletcher Multipoints. (Yellow gun).

I have a few Olympus and Kaha point guns and a few boxes of points as well. I stopped using them a long time ago. They don't really compare with today's modern guns in terms of performance, or reliability. After my stroke I stopped using manual point guns at all and new have a pneumatic gun instead. If I knew how much better a pneumatic gun was at the time, I would have gone pneumatic years ago. So much better in every way.

I think the yoof would call that Steam Punk!

Are you saying that my collection of these old guns might be easy to sell as steam punk collectible items? Do you think that these might be easy to sell on ebay as a bit of easy money? I'm not really sure that they are likely to be worth the bother.

Seriously, if I had lovely old kit like that (and a shop window!) I'd decorate my display with stuff like that dotted around. As well as looking great, it'd remind people they're paying for bespoke work, undertaken by craftsmen/women....not soulless boxes made in China by the container-load

Remember them - nightmare to remove and they would attack any skin put too near them. Still come across them in reframing jobs from time to time and bless the day the Fletcher became available whenever I do....

Don't confuse Triangle points with Diamonds, which I would agree are the Work of the Devil.

If I didn't use Multipoints the I would be using my Columbus gun with 11mm triangle in preference the green Fletcher gun.

Never liked either of them!

I've also got an Olfa 18mm brad gun.
