any suggestions for cut to size glass and MDF in bulk?

Post by boscawen46 »

Hello,
I have a supplier of glass and MDF( 12" X 10" and 10" X 8") in packs but wondered if anyone can suggest a company that also supplies packs of these ? My workshop is in Dorset near Gillingham.
Thanks in advance
James

I was going to mention Wessex as well. A really good company, who have really got their act together. I buy all my glass from them! A really helpful and reliable company, also a definite class act.

I wouldn't, just the other month, placedmy 1st order with them, after telling the rep that I had moved, he updated my account details, but did not up date the satnav details for the delivery
You guessed it, they tried to deliver to my old address, just 9 miles away, would not deliver to my new address that day, so had to wait until the following week
Next week arrived , went to put the 1st frame together, cleaned the glass, popped it into the frame, then got the MDF, tried it in the frame, would it fit, NO it wouldn't, every one was 5mm too big both ways, so had to cut the whole 40 down to the correct size :head: :head: not a good way to impress a new customer, this is an on going job, so they have lost out
Will not be using them again, sticking to Wessex Pictures in future

As you are in Dorset, Wessex would be a good choice for you

Thanks everyone. I use Wessex and they are great but wanted a backup just in case. Tried Centrado but they were a lot more expensive. Not planning on deserting Wessex though they have
