There are lots of these still around and most of them are still working. I think the particular model is a Tarus underpinner, but it's more,or less a similar design to the euro manual underpinner and the Thorpe International under pinner. They usually don't cost much to pick one up and there's not a great deal in them to go wrong.
Spares is not something that anyone needs to worry about. Not much goes wrong that can't be fixed and if there is ever something which can't put right, it's really cheap to pick up another one. They are ideal for the hobby framer who just needs something basic for not a lot of money. Ideal for anyone on a small budget.
