Epson Stylus Pro 7880

Post by Gesso&Bole »

About a year ago I purchased the entire contents of Barnard Castle Framers that was owned by ex Forum member Ricky, who sadly died of Covid. Amongst that stuff was an Epson Stylus Pro 7880 wide format printer, and quite a big bundle of print media, and some spare inks and bits and pieces.

I have never used a wide format printer, but thought I might put the effort in to learn how to do it 'when I got time'. The reality is that it has sat in the corner of my workshop for a year, and I haven't had time to do anything with it. It is now in the way, and I think I should let someone else take it from here . . . . .

Here's what I know about it.
It was in daily use and working fine up to the point when Ricky was taken ill. I have plugged it in and run a test print. I expect that it will need some inks (I gather they dry out with inactivity). One of the plastic doors that covers the ink cartridges has a broken hinge, and it held on with masking tape.

There is a box of odds and sods with it, some of which I have been told is quite expensive stuff(?)
There are a number of rolls of paper and canvas, and a box full of large sheets of good quality paper
Including (these are just the ones with labels on)
Canvas roll 330ml wide
Instdry Photogloss 180 610mmx30m
Canvas 430mm x2
Inkjet paper 610x31m x1.5 rolls
Inkjet Cotton Canvas 340g 610mmx18m
Extra Fine Inkjet Canvas on roll
17" Matte Canvas 380gsm x 15m
Box of large sheets of quality paper

My main concern is to get the space back. I'm thinking that £400 for the lot would be a very fair price, I could deliver at cost in the Midlands area, otherwise pick up in Nottingham.
